Ever since its official launch in March, the FlightScope Mevo has taken the golf world by storm. Mevo is our first model designed for consumers, making it the most affordable and smallest launch monitor we’ve ever made. Our goal with Mevo is to enhance the relationship between the teacher and student by giving the student an affordable and accurate tool to analyze their game on their own terms.

To complement Mevo, we had to design a simple yet effective software: the Mevo Golf app. Whether you are more of a visual or analytical person, the app gives various data review options for you to gain insight on how to optimize your performance.

Action video clip recording

Via your iPhone or Android phone, the Mevo Golf app automatically captures video and clips it 1-5 seconds before impact and 1-5 seconds after, giving you just the right amount of visual feedback you need. The app gives you the option to adjust the clipping time to what you would like, but we recommend clipping the video 3 seconds before and 3 seconds after impact.

Video overlaid with data is extremely powerful for golfers at any level. It allows you to view data and video together in order to analyze and make improvements on each shot. One great example is working with the driver. Launch angle is key for many amateurs aiming to add distance and hit the ball higher. The action video clip recording with data overlaid will allow you to compare launch angles with visual feedback in order to make swing adjustments.

Data analysis made easy

Mevo allows for both outdoor and indoor use allowing you to work on your game on the range or from the comfort of your own home. The interface is completely customizable, letting you choose up to six data parameters to display at a time: ball speed, club speed, smash factor, vertical launch angle, carry distance, spin rate, height, and time. All your data can then be viewed on data blocks, a data table sorted by club selection, a 2D shot trajectory screen, or overlaid on video. Video and data together creates a powerful combination, but the app also gives the user the ability to just focus on data without video.

Instantly upload & share practice sessions

Video and data will be instantly stored for easy upload and sharing on FlightScope’s cloud service, MyFlightScope.com and social media (coming soon). The online cloud allows users to upload session data for free. To store videos, you can purchase a subscription package depending on how many videos you want to store per month. Now your video, data, and performance reports can be stored in one easily accessible place. We’re always looking to enhance our user’s experience, so keep a look out for more improvements and add-ons coming soon to MyFlightScope.com.

Whether you’ve only been playing golf for a few months or all your life, the Mevo app will give you the real-time performance data and video options you need to improve your game.
