EDH South Africa, manufacturer of the FlightScope® family of innovative compact indoor/ outdoor ball flight monitor systems, has returned from Munich in upbeat mood after an outstanding show with an unprecedented level of interest expressed in its Kudu Indoor/ Outdoor Flight Monitor. Golf shows, both trade and consumer that incorporate indoor driving range facilities are proving a rich breeding ground for building FlightScope awareness and Munich’s Golf Europe was no exception. A total of 5 exhibitors took the opportunity to road test the FlightScope Kudu radar system (Yonex, Benross, Walk Golf, United Golfers, Maruman) offering a comprehensive and highly accurate product demo experience to show visitors. European Tour professional Malcolm Mackenzie, a Director of FlightScope’s European distributors MIA Sports Technology, said; “The three days of the show were fantastic with large numbers of visitors from all over Europe expressing serious interest in introducing FlightScope into their golf academies and retail stores. Momentum for FlightScope is building rapidly.”

In the media FlightScope continues to enjoy some notable highlights. Golf World Magazine (October issue) recently undertook a major test evaluating 10 of the best golf balls on the market, six times major winner Nick Faldo carried out the test with FlightScope providing detailed data on each balls flight trajectory and spin rates. Also in Golf World (December issue) 2007 Open Champion Padraig Harrington and equipment sponsor Wilson carried out a custom fit session with 17 handicap golfer Richard Green. FlightScope was used by Padraig to carry out the fitting session under the watchful eye of Phil Bonham from Wilsons Tour Technical department. Wilson are strong advocates of FlightScope and use the system extensively with Tour players, including Padraig, and as part of their demo day programme across the UK and Europe. On the continent Munich’s Golf Europe show also provided the perfect opportunity to formalize an agreement with leading German consumer title Golf Journal who will utilise FlightScope exclusively in their equipment testing programme in 2008.

Henri Johnson, CEO of FlightScope’s parent company EDH Sport commented: “We were absolutely delighted with the progress the brand is making across all global markets, particularly so Europe. Awareness levels are gathering pace as are all important sales with a number of new key customers introducing FlightScope into their businesses including True Temper Europe, Doug McClellands Golf Superstore at Silvermere, The Berkshire Golf Club and the English Golf Union based at Woodhall Spa.”
