ORLANDO, FL – June 25, 2012 – After 19 top-ten finishes, Danny Willett finally claimed his 1st European Tour title with a nail-biting play-off victory over Marcus Fraser in the BMW International Open, becoming the 6th English winner in competition history. His victory beats his previous best European Tour performance – 2nd at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship 2010 and his previous performance in 2012 – tied 3rd at the Malaysian Open in Maybank.

His win not only gains him his first victory as a pro, but also gains him a 2 year European Tour exemption until the end of 2014 and places in the 2012 WGC – Bridgestone Invitational, 2012 WGC – HSBC Championship and the 2013 Volvo Golf Championship.
