Using your Mevo+ with E6 Connect

In addition to offering all the tools you need to take your game to the next level, the FlightScope Mevo+ comes standard with ownership of the FlightScope E6 Connect bundle, which includes lifetime access to 10 simulated golf courses and 17 driving ranges.

You also have the option to purchase additional E6 Connect subscriptions to gain access to more courses. The E6 Basic annual subscription is $300 per year and the E6 Expanded subscription is $600 per year.

And whether you’re looking to enhance your driving range experience or perfect your indoor setup, here’s everything you need to know about using your Mevo+ with E6 Connect:

Activating your subscription

Before you can tee it up virtually, you will need to download the E6 Connect app, which is available on iOS and PC – although Mac is not supported.

Once you have downloaded the app, you will need to create an account on E6. In order to redeem the free subscription that comes with your Mevo+, there will be an option to ‘Redeem Product Key’ after you have logged in. Once you click this, the app will open up your camera and you just need to scan the QR code on the back of your Mevo+, which will automatically input your product key and activate your subscription.

I had some issues with this part of the process as my Mevo+ is a demo model, but thanks to the ChatBot function on the FlightScope website I was immediately connected to a member of the support team, who was able to sort the issue out in no time.

App specifics

The app is quite large in terms of storage size (around 1GB), so it is important to make sure you have enough storage space on your device before downloading. I downloaded it onto my iPhone X, and it has worked perfectly.

It is also worth noting that while all the virtual driving ranges are readily accessible, you will need to download golf courses before you play them, so I recommend doing this while you have Wi-Fi as these are typically around 100MB in size.

The great thing is that once you have downloaded a course, you will be able to access it using offline mode – meaning you won’t have to use any mobile data. All you have to do is connect to your Mevo+ and tee off on golf courses across the world.

Pairing with Mevo+

In order to use your Mevo+ with E6, you will need to do the following:

Firstly, make sure you are logged in on the E6 Connect app, and then leave the app and connect to your Mevo+ on FS Golf. Once you have done this, you can re-open E6 Connect.

Then, click on the settings button on the E6 Connect home page and click on ‘Simulator’ (these are marked in yellow in the pictures below). From here you will need to select your tracking system.

Once you have set your tracking system as FlightScope from the list provided, there will be an option to ‘Configure’. If you click on this, it will open up a list of all the FlightScope radars that can be used with E6 Connect (see below).

As I had already connected to my Mevo+ on FS Golf, the app immediately detected my device. From here, all I had to do was select my Mevo+, which is identified by the serial number on the back, and I was ready to head to the first tee.

Teeing off

As soon as I connected my Mevo+ to E6, I made sure to download Arnold Palmer’s Bay Hill Golf Club – which is one of the 10 courses included as standard.

I was genuinely blown away by the experience of being able to play a PGA Tour course using only my phone and the Mevo+. I found the course to be very realistic, and another great benefit is that you are able to change the course and weather conditions to anything you desire.

Alternatively, if you are just looking to hit balls and hone in your swing at one of the 17 virtual driving ranges on offer, E6 provides some fantastic visuals to work from.

You are able to use E6 with your Mevo+ anywhere, be it against a net in your garden, indoors or outdoors.

I mainly practice outdoors and I have found that having the ability to play real golf courses while on the driving range has not only made my practice more enjoyable and engaging, but it has really helped me improve.

This is because rather than hitting balls aimlessly, I have specific targets and distances to aim for. In addition, bad shots have consequences and can land me in trouble – much like on the golf course.

In my experience, coupling the vast offering of E6 with the incredible accuracy of the Mevo+ truly provides the perfect virtual golfing experience.

Mevo+ is also compatible with additional simulation software and gaming options such as TGC2019, Awesome Golf, Creative Golf 3D, GS Pro, and Pinseeker.
