Distance Requirements
Position the FlightScope sensor 8–10 ft behind the tee, with at least 8 ft of ball flight.
Environmental Requirements
Keep the path between the sensor and tee clear. Avoid fluorescent lights (use incandescent, halogen, or sodium instead), or shield fluorescent bulbs with aluminum hardware cloth to prevent interference. For accurate spin data, use a Titleist RCT ball or place one aluminum sticker on a standard ball, facing it toward the screen. These are required due to the limited flight of the golf ball.
An innovative combination of 3D Doppler tracking technology and high-speed image processing. The X3C provides improved accuracy by leveraging the power of 3D tracking radar and synchronized image processing, based on a revolutionary patented method.
Yes, face impact location is included with the X3C by default.
FlightScope’s Patented Advanced Fusion Tracking requires a minimum of 300 lux to capture accurate Face Impact Location data. For the best results, we recommend a consistent reading above 300 lux within a 3-foot radius of the hitting location.

If you are planning on storing your FlightScope unit for an extended period of time, please note that rechargeable batteries can slowly deplete over time when left unused. To better preserve the battery in your launch monitor over any extended period of non use, it is very important to take the following steps:
- Clean and dry the unit.
- Ensure that the battery is fully charged before putting it away for extended periods of time.
- Store the unit indoors, in its case, pouch, box, or backpack.
- Store in moderate temperatures, ideally between 60°-70° F. Avoid hot and cold conditions.
- When stored for an extended period of time, the battery should be recharged every 2-3 months to ensure it does not become completely drained.
- When the time comes that you wish to use the radar again, please give it another full charge.
