Inside FlightScope’s 2026 PGA Show Showcase with Golf Swing Systems

James Hastings from Golf Swing Systems spoke with FlightScope Content and Application Specialist Jordan Vogler at the 2026 PGA Show to find out what’s new at FlightScope for 2026.

FlightScope Range Gen2: Built for Commercial Environments

One of the standout announcements at the show was the debut of the FlightScope Range Gen2, a next-generation solution designed for outdoor driving ranges, simulator businesses and multi-bay commercial installations which is set to launch in June/July 2026.

“What’s interesting about this product is that it has no internal battery, it’s Power-over-Ethernet (PoE),” Vogler explained. This design choice allows the unit to remain permanently installed and operational, making it particularly appealing for facilities that want a robust, always-on solution.

Out of the box, the Range Gen2 delivers 20 data parameters, with the option to add Pro Package and Face Impact Location. Priced at $1,699, it also includes eight E6 Connect courses, adding immediate simulation value. The unit shown at the PGA Show was housed in a dedicated weather-resistant lockbox, designed to protect the device while keeping it securely installed 24/7.

Mevo Gen2 Continues Its Momentum

Alongside the new range solution, FlightScope highlighted the ongoing success of the Mevo Gen2, launched in August last year. According to Vogler, the unit has been “wildly successful,” particularly following the introduction of the Pro Package and Face Impact Location.

Out of the box, the Mevo Gen2 provides 20 data essential data parameters and includes ownership of eight E6 Connect courses for $1,299 with no subscription fees, while fully loaded with Pro Package and Face Impact Location it costs $2,149. “For that much data, you’d typically spend two to four times that amount,” Vogler said, reinforcing the device’s strong value proposition.

Portability remains one of the Mevo Gen2’s defining strengths. Hastings highlighted how easily the unit fits into a golf bag compared to bulkier launch monitors, making it ideal for golfers who want to move seamlessly between practice environments. With its protective carry case, the Mevo Gen2 can be used on the driving range, golf course, chipping area, or putting green – day or night.

Short-game tracking, a pain point for some launch monitors, received high praise during the interview. Hastings recalled testing “the smallest of chips” during early UK testing, noting that the Mevo Gen2 “picked them up perfectly” and performed exceptionally well on delicate shots around the green. Vogler attributed this to refinements in hardware design, explaining that the camera now sits slightly higher than on the Mevo+, resulting in improved chipping and putting performance.

Battery life has also seen a notable upgrade, increasing from three hours on the Mevo+ to 6 hours+ on the Mevo Gen2, along with the addition of USB-C charging – further enhancing its appeal as a truly portable, all-in-one performance solution.

i4 Rangefinder and Smart Data Margins

FlightScope also showcased the i4 Rangefinder, which continues to stand out for its data-driven approach to distances and club selection. By factoring in wind, air density, elevation, and other environmental conditions, along with the golfer’s personal launch data, the i4 provides both an effective playing distance and a club recommendation – removing the guesswork from on-course decisions.

Finally, Vogler introduced Smart Data Margins, a major usability upgrade coming to the FS Golf App. Providing a set of margins based on handicap and personal carry distances, these margins help golfers understand whether each shot falls within an expected performance range with instant visual feedback. “This helps golfers visualize exactly where they need to improve,” Vogler explained.

Set to launch in March, Smart Data Margins reinforces FlightScope’s focus on long-term improvement through meaningful, easy-to-interpret data.

A Strong Start to 2026

From commercial range innovation to portable performance tracking and smarter software, FlightScope’s PGA Show presence made it clear that 2026 will be a year of continued refinement and expansion. As Vogler summed up, the focus remains on listening to customer feedback and delivering technology that helps golfers at every level understand – and improve – their game.
